Dental erosion

4 visualizations · Nov 13, 2025

Dental erosion is the progressive loss of tooth enamel caused by the chemical action of non-bacterial acids from food, beverages, or the oral environment. This process weakens the enamel, increases tooth sensitivity, and may lead to advanced wear with functional and aesthetic consequences. Early detection and modifications in dietary and hygiene habits are essential to prevent further progression.
